TIME TO BE THANKFUL

Optima Gem has been open for business for 25 years. That is amazing to me! It has been fun and exciting the whole way.

As an Electronic Engineer, I've had reasons to let others help run the business and pursue those opportunities. My wife Debbie has always been involved in the business, but she has pursued other interests as well. No matter what pulls and pushes us through life, Optima Gem has always been something we love and always come back to. There's something about the organic nature of gemstones that has always kept our interest high throughout all these years.

Now, I've formally retired from Engineering and have found I thoroughly enjoy immersing myself in the gems, clients and the website details. Nothing is “hum drum” and every day I see or learn something new or interesting.

We are so thankful to everyone that helped get us to where we are today. Optima Gem has had 16 different cutters and have been extremely lucky that every one of them has approached our rigorous quality control with a wonderful attitude and diligently achieved those standards. We have had 18 customer service reps that have served with accuracy and integrity. Most were local Cal Poly students that have now moved on to families and career jobs. We've loved every one of them and are very happy that we've been able to keep in touch with most. We are especially proud when they point out that something they learned at Optima Gem has helped them succeed in life.

And, of course, we want to thank you, our clients. We've gotten to know many of you over the years and it is unbelievable the high percentage that are truly good people through and through. So…
